The members of the People’s National Assembly (PNA) passed to an absolute majority the draft version of the law on political parties.
The item-by-item vote took place at a plenary session presided by PNA president Adbelaziz Ziari and attended by Minister of Interior and Local Governments Dahou Ould Kablia.
165 amendment proposals have been submitted by PNA members to the 89-article bill. The bill includes seven chapters on political parties, requirements and modalities governing their creation, as well as their organization and operation.
