The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, held talks today in Algiers with the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mr. Mohamed Ould Abdelaziz.

Prior to the meeting, the Mauritanian head of state had been official welcomed to the presidency of the Republic, where both presidents listened to the national anthems of the two countries, before reviewing a unit of the People’s National Army (PNA).

Additionally to the presidential talks, delegations from both countries held an inter-agency meeting, co-chaired by the minister for Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Mr. Mourad Medelci, and his Mauritanian counterpart, Mr. Hamadi Ould Hamadi.
