The president of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, hosted today in Algiers Mr. William Burns, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State.

The presidential audience took place at "Djenane El Mufti" State Residence and was attended by Minister Delegate for Maghreb and African affairs Abdelkader Messahel.

Mr. William Burns was also hosted by Minister Delegate for Maghreb and African affairs Abdelkader Messahel.
U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Burns arrived in Algiers for talks with Algerian authorities on the Malian crisis.
