Meeting with Ambassador Reno L. Harnish III

 

On January 8, 2009, Ambassador Abdallah Baali met with the Honorable Reno L. Harnish III, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs.

The talks between the two parties focused on ways to implement the provisions of the Bilateral Agreement on Science and Technology Cooperation signed in Algiers on January 2006. In this regard, Messrs. Baali and Harnish reviewed projects of partnership in many areas, such as Algeria’s participation in the Maghreb Digital Library; the use of CEMA in Oran for science outreach; cooperation research in renewable energy technologies, and the possible new university partnership.
