REQUIREMENTS FOR LEGAL ADOPTION (KAFALA)

- Article #08/2003 issued on January, 2003 relative to legal adoption
REQUIREMENTS:
- Maximum age for the man: 60 years.
- Maximum age for the woman: 55 years.
- Good health (medical certificates).
- The Kafil has to be a Muslim confession and Algerian nationality.
- Decent accommodation.
- Evidence of conditions are similar for a woman single, widowed or divorced.
Documentation Required:
- Written request and reasons.
- Birth certificate of both spouses.
- Family form (Fiche Familiale) of the couple.
- Medical certificates TRANSLATED
- Criminal records delivered by authorities of the country of residence. TO TRANSLATE.
- Work certificate. TO TRANSLATE
- Pay stubs of the last three months. TRANSLATED AND AMOUNT CONVERTED IN EUROS.
- Copy of the consular registration card.
- Title of property or lease, TRANSLATED
