Algerian nationals, aged 19 and over, registred with the Embassy, who have resided abroad for at least three years and wishing to return permanently to Algeria may ship back up to 2 million Algerian Dinars of personal property including a vehicle with full exemption from customs taxes and levies. This exemption applies to all salaried workers and immediate family.

The maximum value is 2 million Algerian dinars including the value of a vehicle for salary workers and assimilated.
For students and trainees this value is 1.5 million Algerian dinars, including the value of a vehicle,
The Vehicle should be brand new private passenger vehicle with power equal to or less than 1.8 L for fuel vehicles and 2.1 L for diesel vehicles or a new commercial vehicle which does not exceed the total weight of 5.950 tons.

Requirements to apply for CCR :

Applicants  should provide the following documents:

  • The original consular registration card.
  • Algerian Passport (not a copy)
  • A sworn affidavit (DH).forms (DH) Declaration sur l'honneur
  • Inventory: forms Inventory Form
  • Purchase invoice for new vehicles
  • Proof of activity for the last three years
  • Proof of residency in the United-States of America for the last three years
  • Express mail for the return of CCR

Applicants shall pay the following fiscal stamps rights:CCR $60

Inventory Fiscal stamps rights are calculated at 1/1000 on the basis of the amount in algerian Dinars.

IMPORTANT: THE CCR IS VALID FOR 6 MONTHS.

25% OF THE TSA IS APPLICABLE FOR THE VEHICLE :  MORE THAN 1.8L UP TO 2.1L FOR FUEL AND MORE THAN 2.1L UP TO 2.5L FOR DIESEL.
