The Embassy of Algeria has learned with great sadness the passing of Mr. Khaled FORDJANI in Cambridge, MA, on April 23, 2009. Ambassador Abdallah Baali and the members of the Embassy staff extend their deepest condolences to his loved ones in this painful circumstance. We are deeply saddened to report the death of our fellow citizen Mohamed BENSMAIL in Salford Township, PA, on April 25, 2009. The Ambassador of Algeria, Mr. Abdallah Baali, is joined by the Embassy staff in extending their most sincere condolences to his family and friends. It is with deep regret that the Embassy of Algeria conveys the sad news of the passing of Mrs. Baya MOUSSA, Widow of the late Mr. Ould Hammou, in Edison, NJ, on May 3, 2009. Deeply touched and pained by the news, Ambassador Abdallah Baali and the entire staff of the Embassy wish to extend to her loved ones their most sincere condolences and assure them of their profound sympathy. DISPARITION DE L'AMBASSADEUR CHERIF GUELLAL Disparition : Mr. Chérif Guellal, premier Ambassadeur d’Algérie aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique, n’est plus L’Ambassade d’Algérie aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique a la douleur et le regret d’annoncer le décès de Monsieur Chérif Guellal, premier Ambassadeur d’Algérie aux Etats-Unis d’Amérique, à la suite d’une longue maladie. Fin diplomate, l’Ambassadeur Guellal a représenté notre pays de juillet 1963, à peine une année après l’indépendance, à juin 1967. A ce titre, il a grandement contribué au développement des relations entre l’Algérie et les Etats-Unis d’Amérique. En cette triste circonstance, l’Ambassadeur Abdallah Baali ainsi que l’ensemble du personnel de l’Ambassade présentent à la famille et aux proches du défunt leurs condoléances les plus attristées et les assurent de leur profonde sympathie. The Embassy of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the United States of America announces with great sadness and much regret the passing of Algeria’s first Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Chérif Guellal, after a long illness. As a skilled diplomat, Ambassador Guellal represented Algeria in Washington from July 1963, barely one year after our country’s independence, until June 1967. In that capacity, he played a major role in the development of Algerian-American relations. In this painful circumstance, Ambassador Abdallah Baali and the entire staff of the Embassy of Algeria extend their most sincere condolences to his loved ones and assure them of their deepest sympathy. |
