REQUIREMENTS FOR LEGAL ADOPTION (KAFALA)

  • Article #08/2003 issued on January, 2003 relative to legal adoption

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maximum age for the man: 60 years.
  • Maximum age for the woman: 55 years.
  • Good health (medical certificates).
  • The Kafil has to be a Muslim confession and Algerian nationality.
  • Decent accommodation.
  • Evidence of conditions are similar for a woman single, widowed or divorced.

Documentation Required:       

  • Written request and reasons.
  • Birth certificate of both spouses.
  • Family form (Fiche Familiale) of the couple.
  • Medical certificates TRANSLATED
  • Criminal records delivered by authorities of the country of residence. TO TRANSLATE.
  • Work  certificate. TO TRANSLATE
  • Pay stubs of the last three months. TRANSLATED AND AMOUNT CONVERTED IN EUROS.
  • Copy of the consular registration card.
  • Title of property or lease, TRANSLATED
