Great Britain considers Algeria as a “key” ally in the fight against terrorism in the region of Maghreb, Sahel and West Africa, said General Major Robin Searby, British Prime Minister David Cameron security adviser.

"Algeria is a an important partner and a key ally of UK in the fight against terrorism in these African regions," this official said while hailing the recent meeting of coordination between Algeria, Mali, Niger and Mauritania to coordinate fight against this trans-border scourge.
