The contact group on bilateral cooperation between Algeria and US counterterrorism and related security issues held on march,3rd its first meeting in Algiers.

This informal mechanism has been set to structure the dialogue and cooperation between Algeria and the United States of America on all issues related to the fight against trans-national terrorism, and also for "identifying ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in its political, diplomatic, judicial, financial, operational and technical assistance multiple dimensions," added a source from the group.
