In honor of those who have given their lives for the freedom of Algeria so that many of us have lived, AAAGW is organizing an event dedicated to two Algerian Heroes:

1. Movie showing Mustapha Ben Boulaid with live discussion. The film starts with Ben Boulaid and his countrymen (in the Algerian 11th Regiment Riflemen) fighting in France against the Nazis, and returning injured to Algeria at the end of WWII. Movie is produced by Ahmed Rachedi

2.Akfadou une année avec le colonel Amirouche, a book presentation by Hamou Amirouche. Mr. Amirouche was a freedom fighter at the age of eighteen, Served in the Algerian Government, Georgetown University Graduate, visiting Professor at different US Universities and a visiting scholar at Harvard University . Mr. Amirouche will be our guest speaker to present his life with Colonel Amirouche when he was his personal assistant at the time. We are honored to have him in person.
