Cartoonists Dilem and Plantu in three Algerian cities soon

Exhibitions and meetings with press cartoonists Dilem and Plantu will be held in Constantine, Oran and Algiers from week. These meetings, initiated by Cartooning for Peace Foundation in partnership with the Embassy of France in Algeria, will address the theme "The cartoon, a controlled slide," organizers added.

The public will meet Dilem and Plantu and visit exhibitions of works the two cartoonists which will be held at the French Cultural Centres of Constantine (March5), Oran (March 7) and Algiers (March 8).

Dilem, born in 1967 in Algiers, the cartoonist of the Algerian daily newspaper "Liberté," graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Algiers, began his career as a cartoonist in 1989 in Alger-Republicain then in le Matin newspapers. Since 2001, he has been collaborating with the French channel TV5-Monde.
