Aps 11/1/11
GHARDAIA (Algeria)- The festivities marking Amazigh new year, Yennayer 2961, organized by the High Commission of Amazighity in the MZab region, in the country's south, started Tuesday by the inauguration of a series of exhibitions at the Youth Centres Office amid a party atmosphere.
Several associations, craftsmen, artists and cultural figures from the Mzab MZab region and various parts of the country are taking part in the exhibitions, centred upon national tangible and intangible cultural heritage, especially in relation to the Berber dimension.
In addition to traditional craft industry and the culinary art concerning the Berber communities in each region, such as Kabylia, Chenoua (Cherchell and its outskirts) or Timimoun, southern Algeria, the book is in force at those events.
