Qualifications

  • Teaching experience at graduate level
  • Post-graduate degree or Ph.D.
  • Hold education and experience levels required for teaching and research (minimum of 12 years of teaching experience required.)

 

Required Application Documents

  • Certified copy and French translation of diplomas, university degrees, and professional certificates
  • Marital-status form (Fiche familial d’état civil)
  • Notarized certified statement of employment experience, including summary description of most recent position held
  • Medical statement declaring the candidate free of any contagious disease(s), handicap(s) of any nature or any physical infirmity likely to be incompatible with the position

 

Contract Requirements

  • Candidates are bound by a two-year employment contract, renewable yearly
  • Candidates are subject to same weekly teaching load set for Algerian faculty members of equal qualifications and holding similar positions

 

Annual Leave and Holidays

  • Hired faculty enjoy the same leave and holidays granted Algerian faculty members of equal qualifications and holding similar positions

 

Compensation

  • Hired candidates shall be paid a gross monthly salary (273,060 Algerian Dinars (DA) for professors and 236,160 DA for lecturers), part of which shall be transferable in foreign currency and part paid in Algerian Dinars

 

Transportation Coverage

  • Roundtrip coach-class travel shall be covered by Algerian side at time of effective hiring and end-of-contract for candidate, his/her spouse, and two children under 18 years of age

 

Accommodation

  • Algerian side shall provide hired candidates with free and furnished accommodation
  • Faculty members shall be responsible for utilities (water, gas, and power) charges
