Algérie Presse Service (APS) - December 5, 2012
A group of Algerian experts will travel to Washington to meet on Dec. 17 and 18 with U.S. experts to take part in negotiations being conducted with the United States to reach a bilateral agreement intended to help Algeria expedite the process leading to effective membership in the World trade Organization (WTO), Minister of trade Mustapha Benabada said today in Algiers.

The minister, who made the statement on the margins of an Algerian-Finnish business forum, said that the delegation "will present to the Americans the efforts deployed by Algeria over the past two years to accelerate the process of integrating Algerian economy into the global economy."

According to the minister, the delegation will go to Washington "to listen to our American partners, better understand their views and concerns and explain the motivation behind some prohibitions decided by the Algerian authorities."
