"Tlemcen, Capital of Islamic Culture"
35 documentaries on Tlemcen's history and heritage screened in 2011

TLEMCEN (Algeria)- Thirty five documentaries on the history, heritage, art and culture of Tlemcen (540-km west of Algiers) will be screened as part of "Tlemcen, 2011 Capital of Islamic Culture," event, announced the province's Culture Directorate.
Three to four documentaries will be previewed in Tlemcen per month in the presence of their directors, and then they will be screened in bordering provinces. Some major productions like "Sidi Boumediene," "Abdelkrim Dali," "Ibn Khaldoune" and "Cheikha Tetma," will be previewed in Algiers, the source added.
Other films produced for this event will be also shown in the southern cities of Bechar, Adrar, Ouargla, Laghouat, El Oued, Tamanrasset and Illizi, according to the Culture Directorate.
