"Tlemcen, Capital of Islamic Culture"
"Goual," a central figure in the national oral culture
TLEMCEN (Algeria) – El Goual, "the documentary on the history of Tlemcen by Boualem Aïssaoui was presented a preview Wednesday night at "Abdelkader Alloula" House of Culture in Tlemcen.
Produced by the film department (CNCA) of Culture Ministry as part of the event "Tlemcen capital of Islamic culture 2011," this 54 minute-long documentary is an invitation to discover the history of " pearl of the Maghreb "and all the monuments and places of worship that contain different regions of Tlemcen. The viewer is invited to attend a Goual, this central figure in the national oral culture, which reveals, step by step, historical relics and places of worship and the history of all these outstanding figures who made history in the region.
